Thirty-three

Today was my birthday.  I feel like it was celebrated for 3 days.  My new friend, Adria, offered to watch the kids while Mark and I went out for a birthday dinner.  Saturday, Mark and Alexa made cupcakes.  Sunday, cards and birthday wishes from friends and family.

Mark scored big points with the customized M&M's.
I feel so incredibly blessed and loved.

TWIN DAY

This past Friday was TWIN DAY at school.  Alexa and her friend dressed up as twins with their mommies help. Don't they look so cute!  Braids, silly bands and sparkly shoes - such girly girls.

The boys got in on it too. They had their Basketball Jerseys from the Y.
It looks like JT is taller than his big brother.  Yikes!

Student of the Month

Brandon was awarded Student of the Month for his class. He is doing so well, we are very happy with his behavior and diligence in school. He has a great teacher that keeps him focused and organized. I hope JT and Alexa get her too.

As part of the award they get to skip a little bit of class to enjoy a healthy popsicle. He got to pick a friend to go with him. GOOD TIMES!

Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy paid Lex a visit this week.

She has at least 3 more teeth that are wiggly. Is the cute stage over?

Goodbye Training Wheels

It didn't take much parenting for Lex to learn how to ride a bike. A couple of pushes and that was all she needed. She's been ready to learn for a while, we've been either too busy or lazy. I can't believe the training wheels are gone forever.
The bike she is riding was previously Jonathan's. A little spray paint and some accessories and it's as good as new.
The boys are into skateboarding and getting quite good at it.

It's fun to be 5!

This weekend was spent outside as much as possible - the weather was beautiful and warmer than the average temp. Lex had a lot of fun in the backyard by the pool and was posing for pictures. She has recently lost a bottom tooth and her 2 top teeth are very wiglly.

It's good to be 5!  Do you remember being 5?

Man, I love this girly girl.

"the nitch"

So...the nitch is done!  Mark did an amazing job - I'm so proud of my hubby.  He was very precise in his measurements and very picky with the details. We ended up with beautiful crown molding in order to have surround sound and hide the speaker wires. Below is the progress.

The kids were given permission to write on the wall-it would eventually get covered.
It backfired a couple of days later when Alexa wrote on the neighbors door.

Mittens, wondering what is going on...she is such a good fit for our family.

The nitch, surrounded with a shell and speaker wires coming out of the wall.

Lots of caulking...Mark is such the pro!

The nitch is done, now on to the crown molding. The blue tape is holding the speaker wires. Yes, we watch the bachelor, mostly to hear Mark's stupid comments.

Crown molding is up and the room is finished. Well, almost.  Curtains need to be hung.
