First Day of School

Today was our first day of school.
"A" started kindergarten, "J" started first grade and "B" started 3rd grade.
We were all a little nervous (specially Mark and I).
Nobody cried or was sad. A big answer to prayer!

 Can "J" get any goofier?!?!?!

She wasn't suposed to be so color coordinated - it just happened to work out that way.
She changed her shoes 3 times before going to school!

Auntie Carrie and Uncle Chris

Mark's sister, Carrie and new hubby Chris spent a couple of weeks vacationing in northern California. The third week was spent with us. It was great to see them and get better acquainted with Chris. They are very much in love! I tried to convince them to move out here but, unfortunately it did not work. :-(

Meet our new addition to the family

Mittens

We fell in love with her while in Ohio and brought her back with us. She had a great plane ride and has adjusted well to us and her new life in California. She is very well tempered, enjoys the kids and is so easy to have around. She's a good replacement for a dog - for now.

Our family vacation

ok, bare with me. i have a lot of pictures i'd like to share with you. our first stop was TN at guy and heather's beautiful house. we did a lot of swimming, fell in love with kittens and enjoyed the rumbling thunderstorms.

our next stop was mammoth cave in kentucky. we walked down narrow steps to level 2, 280 feet below ground. a little scary at times and definitely worth it!

and finally OH. chicken fights, races, kittens, soak city, guns, tubing at mohigan and a lot of hanging out at home with their grandparents.

Kids Games

This week all three kids enjoyed being a part of Kids Games. It's a modern VBS. They worshiped, heard stories, did crafts, the boys opted for karate, collected food for the homeless and even packed the food in individual boxes. I had every morning to myself, the first time in 8 years! I can't believe I am finally to that point in my life. Below are pictures of J who participated in Crazy Hat Day and Crazy Hair Day.
